I haven’t been able to afford meat lately, so this would be a real treat if I win! Gonna have a load of people over for a tasting. Where does anyone find these artisan beefs (other than on the internet? I buy locally produced beef and like that it doesn’t have to travel too far to get to me, but in this economy I would love to receive free steaks. Well, maybe not, it’s a bit out of my budget at this point…we still eat a lot of ‘Select’ in my house. I’ve never heard of a steak-tasting. Thank you. Everyone should know so much about their ingredients! Even on the Internet it can be hard to compare and contrast. But it wasn’t until I decided to try one of Carrie’s Oliver Ranch taste packs that I felt ok about eating meat again on a regular basis. i hope so! I knew beef from different regions could taste different, but I never thought of comparing beef to wine, in terms of tasting. I would have to hide this stuff or it wouldn’t make it to the tasting! Place your seasoned NY strip steaks, garlic, and herbs in the hot skillet and allow the steak to cook, without moving it, for 3 minutes or until browned and caramelization has begun (which can't start as easily if you move the steak around).
